Job summary

Handsworth care home, part of MHA, seeks an enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to design and deliver a varied programme for residents. You will promote social engagement, guide residents in using IT to stay connected, and work with staff and volunteers to provide meaningful activities.

You will help maintain records, review programmes, and support safe use of resources, while upholding safeguarding and wellbeing standards.

Qualifications

• Design and deliver a varied activities programme to meet residents' social needs.
• Promote wellbeing through engaging, inclusive activities.
• Support residents to access IT to stay connected.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver activities for individuals and groups based on residents' needs.
• Promote social, physical and spiritual wellbeing through activities.
• Support residents with IT to stay connected with family and friends.
• Liaise with staff, relatives, volunteers and community groups to organise events.
• Keep accurate records of activities and outcomes for care plans.
• Review and adapt activities as needs change.
• Assist induction of new staff where appropriate.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of activity resources within budget.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and safety policies.
