Job summary

NSL is seeking a DVLA Enforcement Officer to support enforcement actions on vehicles. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, strong communication, and the ability to work shifts, including weekends.

You will liaise with the public, advise on fines and payments, and work with agencies as needed to enforce vehicle compliance. Located in the Maidstone area, the role involves clamping untaxed vehicles and heavy lifting as part of daily duties, with full training and ongoing support

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and customer focused.
• Ability to work shifts and on own initiative.
• Previous similar-role experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with clamping and removal of untaxed vehicles is desirable.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting safely.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with the public and advises on clamping and fines.

• Handles public enquiries and provides information packs.

DVLA Enforcement Officer

Our Enforcement Officers play a big part by removing untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA.

***All applicants applying for this role must hold a full manual UK driving licence. Applicants who do not hold a valid full manual UK driving licence will not be considered for this role***

Shift Pattern:

• Rest day: Monday
• Tuesday–Friday: 7:30am–5:30pm
• Saturday: 7:00am–12:30pm
• Working days: Tuesday to Saturday.

What does a DVLA Enforcement Officer Do?

• Liaises with members of the public and give advice regarding clamping and fines.
• Advises the public on payment methods and other issues regarding enforcement action taken on their vehicle.
• Work alongside other agencies when required including Police DVLA and VOSA.
• Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available
• Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviced and fit for purpose reporting faults to the Manager.
• Completes daily reports regarding activities
• Clamping and removal of untaxed vehicles
