Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting a Construction Associate Director in Bristol to lead complex non-contentious matters in the energy sector. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating EPC, NEC, FIDIC and O&M contracts for renewables, energy storage and grid projects.

You will collaborate with regulators, planning, real estate and project finance teams while guiding junior lawyers and stakeholders through negotiations on national energy infrastructure assignments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing complex non contentious construction matters.
• Strong experience negotiating FIDIC, NEC, EPC and O&M agreements.
• Confidence leading negotiations and supervising junior lawyers.
• Experience working on multi party matters, particularly within project finance structures.
• High levels of motivation and genuine interest in energy, renewables and infrastructure.
• Commitment to developing sector expertise and contributing to practice growth.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating EPC, BOP, and O&M contracts for renewables and energy storage.
• Leading negotiation meetings with junior colleagues.
• Guiding client stakeholders through the negotiation process.
• Providing procurement advice and legal project management.
• Advising on FIDIC, NEC and bespoke construction agreements.
• Collaborating with energy regulation, planning and project finance teams.
• Supporting delivery and operation phases, including contract management and variations.
• Working on national scale energy and infrastructure projects.
