Clean Energy Construction Lawyer - Senior Associate / Managing Associate / Director / Partner - Bristol - 4+ years PQE

Location: Bristol Office (Hybrid Working Available)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £85,000 to £130,000, dependent on experience and seniority

Chadwick Nott is recruiting for a senior-level Clean Energy Construction lawyer to join a nationally recognised team based in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of clean energy infrastructure, advising on high-profile projects and collaborating with leading experts across the UK.

The Role

You'll work directly with senior partners in Bristol and across the firm's national clean energy practice, supporting major developments and transactions in the sector. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on BESS supply agreements with global manufacturers
  • Drafting and negotiating EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and LTSAs
  • Handling component warranties and related commercial documentation
  • Supporting clean energy project developments, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Collaborating with colleagues in construction, real estate, corporate, finance, planning, and environment
  • Contributing to strategic sector growth and mentoring junior team members
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a senior lawyer with:

  • At least 4 years PQE in construction, commercial, or projects work within the clean energy sector
  • Experience with transactional matters or infrastructure projects involving technologies such as BESS, solar PV, wind, hydro, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging, or district heating
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work across disciplines
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • A genuine interest in sustainability and energy transition
Working Arrangements

This is a Bristol-based role with hybrid working options. Occasional travel to other offices or client sites may be required.
