Job summary

This Endoscopy Nurse role is based in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's Endoscopy Unit. You will provide specialised endoscopy nursing care, assess and plan patient care, and work closely with Gastroenterology and Surgery teams to ensure safe, efficient services.

You will supervise junior staff, participate in teaching and audits, and support continuous professional development in a busy clinical environment. Flexible working options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Knowledge of endoscopy, gastroenterology or general surgery is desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based patient care and autonomous practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the patient journey.
• Provide specialist endoscopy nursing care in a busy unit.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and support junior staff.
• Contribute to audits, service improvement, and policy development.
