Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Booking Clerks to administer the Endoscopy waiting list and coordinate patient bookings within breach dates and approved pathways. You will use the IPM system to maintain accurate waiting list data and report issues to the Waiting List Leads.

Key duties include handling patient inquiries with confidentiality, moving appointments when needed, and offering alternative slots promptly.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education in maths and English.
• Evidence of further education or training to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Familiarity with data handling and patient information systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and upkeep the waiting list and booking of patients.
• Record waiting list information in IPM and keep patient data up to date.
• Liaise with Consultants and Endoscopy Unit staff to ensure good communication.
