Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy Booking Officer (Band 3) to provide confidential administrative support to the Endoscopy departments. The role covers Straight to Test bookings and cancer waiting list management, with strong communication to patients and staff to ensure an efficient service.

You will train new staff, assist with data quality, and work a 37.5 hour week on standard NHS hours, contributing to a busy hospital trust with multiple sites.

Qualifications

• GCSE level Maths and English (minimum C).
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven administrative experience with handling telephone enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Provide full confidential administrative admission service for Endoscopy departments.
• Assist with Straight to Test bookings and cancer waiting list management.
• Communicate with patients, consultants, secretaries and staff to ensure a proficient service.
• Train new staff and provide cover for absence; manage data quality reports.
