Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Waiting List Coordinators for the Elective Care Booking Team. The role requires accurate, patient‑focused administrative work in a busy NHS environment.

The team operates from the Endoscopy office at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, with contracted hours of 37.5 per week (Mon–Sat) and a fixed non-working day. You’ll benefit from learning and development opportunities and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer care skills; written and verbal.
• Strong keyboard/IT skills and organisational ability.
• Ability to multitask with good time management.
• Understanding confidentiality and data protection in daily practice.

Responsibilities

• Book and manage patients on the waiting list in line with the Trust Policy and KPIs.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and Elective Care Service Manager.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative duties.
