Job summary

The University of Lancashire is seeking an IT/AV Technician to join the Learning and Information Services team at our Westlakes campus in Cumbria. You will install and maintain IT, audio-visual, and specialist resources across the estate to support core teaching activities.

You will assist staff and students with learning technologies, including web conferencing and event support, with occasional travel between Westlakes and Preston.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT and AV technical support in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to instruct and demonstrate IT/AV equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues.
• A Level 3 qualification such as A Levels or BTEC (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain IT, audio-visual and specialist resources across the estate.
• Support teaching activities and delivery of core teaching.
• Assist staff and students with learning technologies, including web conferencing and event support.
• Travel between Westlakes and Preston campuses may be required.
