Job summary

Access Creative College Nottingham campus is seeking a proactive Campus Technician to ensure teaching spaces, IT, AV and resources are ready for lessons, events and student projects.

You will set up and maintain equipment, provide friendly frontline technical and facilities support, troubleshoot IT/AV issues, manage bookings and assist with upgrades while collaborating with the Resource Manager and Campus Team.

Qualifications

• Essential experience includes: Windows, macOS and ChromeOS.
• Google Workspace and JAMF proficiency.
• Classroom AV equipment knowledge (monitors, cameras).
• Troubleshooting IT, AV and network systems.
• Basic electronics, cable making and equipment repairs.
• Practical use of tools and basic building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain equipment for lessons, exams and events.
• Provide friendly frontline technical and facilities support to students and staff.
• Troubleshoot IT, AV and equipment problems to resolution.
• Manage room and resource bookings and ensure equipment availability.
• Perform routine equipment testing and preventative maintenance.
• Support specialist facilities (AV, cameras, music, VR and other tech).
• Collaborate with contractors and IT teams on systems upgrades and maintenance.
• Assist with room upgrades and new facilities projects.
• Support student projects, events and after-hours bookings.
• Act as site keyholder and respond to out-of-hours calls.
