Job summary

Loughborough University is seeking an AV Technical Support Officer to join our Teaching Support team on the East Midlands campus. This role provides technical support for teaching, research and event spaces, ensuring AV and IT systems deliver an excellent experience for staff, students and visitors.

You will work in a dedicated technical team supporting teaching rooms, lecture capture, Unified communications platforms, event production and specialist AV installations across campus.

Qualifications

• Experience with supporting, installing and maintaining professional AV and IT systems in a customer-focused environment.
• Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and practical problem-solving ability.
• Highly organised, enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer experience.
• Occasional evening and out-of-hours work may be required, with overtime/time off in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Responding to support requests.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults.
• Installing and commissioning new AV equipment.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and supporting teaching and event activities.
