Job summary

The Royal Veterinary College in the United Kingdom seeks an IT/AV Technician to join our IT Resources team at Hawkshead campus, with occasional travel to Camden campus to support and maintain over 2,000 University-managed Windows systems.

In this hands-on role you’ll provide 1st and 2nd line support to students and staff, diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment, and assist users with their personal devices, ensuring reliable, user-focused IT services.

Qualifications

• Experience in higher education is desirable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid troubleshooting across hardware, software and operating systems.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Hybrid working environment with campus travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT/AV support to students and staff.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and OS issues, including AV equipment.
• Assist users with personal devices and software applications.
• Collaborate with IT Resources Manager and Helpdesk across campuses.
• Occasional travel between Hawkshead and Camden campuses.
