Job summary

Riverside is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Bristol to assist young people 16-25 with housing-related needs, budgeting, and access to employment and education. You will document interactions, coordinate with employability coaches, and provide empathetic, resilient support while maintaining safeguarding and records.

Based at Britton House, this full-time role involves shift patterns, occasional weekends, and a commitment to helping customers move toward independent housing and stability.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• Team player with a caring, empathetic nature and a resilient, can-do attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including lived experience.
• Flexibility to work hours that may include weekends and lone working.

Responsibilities

• Leading on Co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans with stakeholders.
• Organising regular reviews of support and risk plans following changes.
• Engaging customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assisting with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters.
• Signposting to external services and promoting employment/education opportunities.
• Maintaining tenancy readiness and financial independence through budgeting.
• Record keeping on the local digital platform and safeguarding when required.
