Job summary

Smile Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants and experienced SEN specialists to support pupils within a specialist educational setting in Rowley Regis.

This role offers the chance to work with pupils aged 7-19 with a range of needs, including autism and learning difficulties, delivering individualised support and helping learners access a personalised curriculum in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with autism or learning difficulties.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Passionate about working with children and young people with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN and complex learning needs.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Helping pupils access a personalised curriculum.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Working closely with teachers and SEN professionals.
• Following individual education and support plans.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
