This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working with a Year 8 cohort of pupils with special educational needs. The school is looking for a passionate and resilient teacher who can provide a structured, engaging and supportive learning environment tailored to the individual needs of the pupils.
This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher who is confident adapting the curriculum, managing behaviour positively and building strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning. The school provides a specialist learning environment for pupils who require additional support to access education.
As an SEN teacher, you will work alongside an experienced team of teaching and support staff, adapting your approach to ensure pupils remain engaged and able to access their learning. You will primarily be working with Year 8 pupils with a range of additional learning needs.

Pupils requiring significant differentiation and additional classroom support. The pupils will have different abilities, strengths and barriers to learning, so the successful teacher will need to be flexible and confident in adapting lessons accordingly. Some pupils may require additional support with emotional regulation, maintaining focus, following routines, managing social situations and developing independence. A calm, consistent and relationship-based approach will be particularly important.
As the Year 8 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of the pupils.
