Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Grays is seeking a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to support pupils with additional learning needs within a supportive educational setting.

You will work closely with teachers and professionals to help pupils access the curriculum, develop communication and social skills, and build independence and confidence to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in classroom activities.
• Support the development of communication, social and emotional skills.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive self-esteem.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activities.
• Adapt resources and learning materials to meet individual pupil needs.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Support effective classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
• Observe and record pupil progress and behaviour.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff and contribute to review meetings.
• Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning programmes.
