Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This role focuses on supporting children with SEN and helping them reach their full potential within a nurturing educational environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, work with teachers and external professionals, and help students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech-language needs.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
Patient, caring and resilient approach.
Strong communication and safeguarding understanding.
Ability to adapt learning strategies to individual needs.
Qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable).

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs.
Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
