Job description
Overview

My client is currently recruiting for an Employment Solicitor to join their top 100 firm on a fully remote basis. We are working with a highly regarded and award-winning law firm that is looking to strengthen its Employment department with an experienced solicitor. The firm has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality advice across a broad range of practice areas and is known for its forward-thinking culture, supportive working environment, and commitment to lawyer well-being.

This role will suit an experienced Employment Solicitor who is looking for genuine flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work with an outstanding client base while still being part of a collaborative and ambitious team.

The role

You will be joining a busy Employment practice with a strong pipeline of work, focusing on contentious matters, particularly cases involving discrimination, equality, and workplace disputes. Advocacy experience would be a welcome addition, although it is not essential. You will be advising and representing a wide range of clients, from senior executives to commercial businesses in industries such as transport, marketing, technology, and professional services.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on a full spectrum of contentious employment issues, with particular focus on discrimination and equality.
  • Drafting and responding to tribunal claims, preparing witness statements, and managing disclosure.
  • Handling settlement agreements and advising both employers and employees.
  • Attending client meetings, case conferences, and, where appropriate, representing clients at tribunal hearings.
  • Supporting the team with knowledge sharing, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to wider business development initiatives.
About you
  • A minimum of 5 years\' PQE in Employment law, gained at a reputable regional or London firm.
  • A strong track record of managing contentious employment cases to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and explain complex legal issues clearly.
  • The confidence to work autonomously while also being a team player.
  • A commercial outlook, with enthusiasm for contributing to business development and networking opportunities.
What’s on offer
  • A competitive salary package with scope for progression.
  • Flexibility with fully remote working.
  • The opportunity to work alongside highly ranked and respected lawyers in a supportive team culture.
  • Exposure to high-quality work and a diverse client base.
  • A genuine work-life balance, with the resources of a progressive and expanding law firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor who wants to build on their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
