Job summary

Bovelle is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its boutique Employment team in Bristol. You will train with colleagues from big-firm backgrounds, enjoying high-quality training and real responsibility in a close-knit, less-bureaucratic setting.

You will run your own caseload for employer and employee clients, gain exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work, and help shape how the team grows. Applications from 1–4 years PQE in employment law are welcome.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE in employment law.
• Experience in either contentious or non-contentious employment work.
• Desire to build a genuine long-term career within a growing team.
• Able to work in a small, close-knit environment where you're visible and accountable.

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for an Employment Solicitor to join a genuinely boutique Employment team in Bristol. The team is only a couple of years old, but it's growing fast and building a solid reputation. You'll be working alongside colleagues who've come from big-firm backgrounds, so you get that quality of training and technical rigour, without the bureaucracy, the billable-hour pressure-cooker, or being one of forty associates fighting for a partner's attention.

About the Role

You will be:

• Running your own caseload of employment matters for a mix of employer and employee clients
• Getting genuine exposure to both contentious work (Tribunal claims, disputes) and non-contentious advisory work
• Working directly alongside experienced, big-firm-trained colleagues, with real access to their time and expertise
• Playing an active part in a growing team, where your input actually shapes how things are done, not just following an established playbook

About You

You will have:

• Qualified as a solicitor with 1-4 years' PQE in employment law (applications from newly qualified candidates are also welcome)
• A solid grounding in either contentious or non-contentious employment work, ideally with some exposure to both
• A keenness to build a genuine long-term career within a growing team, not just clock up experience and move on
• Comfort working in a smaller, close-knit environment where you're visible and accountable, not anonymous
