Job summary

Sellick Partnership is working with a highly regarded regional law firm to appoint an Employment Lawyer with 3+ PQE in Leeds. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a varied caseload and real opportunities for progression within a collaborative team.

The successful candidate will advise employer clients on a wide range of issues, support corporate and restructuring teams, and contribute to training, networking and business development.

Qualifications

• Be an Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE.
• Strong experience advising employer clients on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious work and delivering client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Advise predominantly employer clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
• Support corporate, commercial and restructuring teams on employment aspects of transactions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development and training.
• Design and deliver client seminars and presentations.
• Engage in networking and business development to grow the team.

Employment Lawyer (3+ PQE) | Leeds | £60,000 - £75,000

A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked regional law firm is seeking an Employment Lawyer to join its established Employment team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join a well-respected team recognised for delivering commercially focused advice to an impressive client base. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, alongside genuine opportunities for career progression within a collaborative and supportive environment. The successful Employment Lawyer will advise a diverse client base, including large corporates, well-known regional businesses, fast-growing SMEs and high-net-worth individuals, building long-term client relationships while managing a varied and high-quality caseload.

The role will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Advising predominantly employer clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
• Supporting corporate, commercial and restructuring teams on the employment aspects of transactions.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.
• Supporting senior colleagues on complex matters while mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate.
• Designing and delivering client training sessions, seminars and presentations.
• Playing an active role in networking and business development to support the continued growth of the team.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE.
• Have strong experience advising employer clients on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Have experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment work.
• Be confident managing matters independently while delivering exceptional client service.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enjoy networking and business development and be keen to contribute to the continued success of the team.
• Be commercially minded, collaborative and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
