Job summary

BCL Legal Limited is seeking a Senior Associate Employment Lawyer to join its highly regarded Employment team. The role involves advising employer clients on a broad range of advisory and contentious matters, handling complex disputes and supporting international projects.

The successful candidate will have 5–8 years PQE in Employment law, experience at a recognised firm, strong drafting and commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset with a view to business development and leadership within

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' PQE in Employment law.
• Experience advising employer clients on both advisory and litigation matters.
• Experience at a recognised regional, national or international law firm.
• Excellent technical employment law knowledge and strong commercial awareness.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Autonomy in handling matters and managing client relationships.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers is advantageous.
• Ambitious, proactive and commercially minded with a client‑focussed approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative team player with interest in business development and career progression.

Responsibilities

The Role:

• Senior Associate within the Employment team

• Working on domestic and international employment projects for major UK and multinational clients
• Taking responsibility for client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice
• Supervising junior lawyers and playing an active role in team development

The Candidate:

• Qualified solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE in Employment law
• Strong experience advising employer clients on both employment advisory and employment litigation matters
• Experience gained within a recognised regional, national or international law firm
• Excellent technical employment law knowledge and strong commercial awareness
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable managing client relationships and handling matters with a high degree of autonomy
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers would be advantageous
• Ambitious, proactive and commercially minded approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Collaborative team player with a genuine interest in business development and career progression
