We act as trusted advisors to leading FTSE organizations, helping them navigate technical legal issues and acting as strategic business partners. We pride ourselves on being confident, commercially aware, pragmatic, and responsive, offering innovative solutions to our clients.

Our work involves cutting-edge claims, projects, and transactions for blue-chip corporates and financial institutions, often with an international scope. We advise on cross-border issues, executive employment law, and strategic projects like global change management and gender pay gap audits.

The team aims to grow further, making this an excellent opportunity for an Associate seeking career progression.

The Team

The team serves diverse clients, from local businesses to international corporations, focusing on business change, corporate deals, and employment litigation. The UK team comprises over 60 employment lawyers across multiple offices, with a new partner joining in Aberdeen in May 2025. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues across the UK, especially in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Candidate Required

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of employment law experience in a commercial practice, with expertise in strategic advice, tribunal claims, cross-border issues, restructuring, redundancy, senior-level grievances, discrimination, whistleblowing, and possibly high-value litigation. Experience in M&A and outsourcing work is beneficial.

They should have a strong academic background, be technically proficient, commercially aware, and understand the workings of a large international firm. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive attitude towards growth and cross-office initiatives are essential.
