Job summary

SEETEC in Bodmin is seeking an Employment Adviser to guide and support participants to overcome barriers to employment and achieve their realistic job goals.

You will manage a caseload, coach and mentor, and build strong relationships to deliver tailored action plans and effective job-search support. The role is office-based, 37 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations.
• Basic knowledge of self-employment.
• Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes.
• Experience of working in a target driven environment.
• Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet and strive to exceed personal performance targets (KPIs).
• Progressively manage a caseload of referred customers with tailored strategies.
• Deliver a positive experience to new customers and engage with the programme.
• Achieve the customer service standards required on the programme.
• Provide tailored support in job-search and interview preparation.
• Signpost and guide to self-employment options when appropriate.
• Develop SMART action plans to enable progression.
• Keep accurate records and ensure evidence requirements are met.
• Understand the local labour market to source opportunities.
• Build partnerships with employers and stakeholders to maximise job opportunities.
