Qualifications

Employment Relations Specialist

Leeds or London

12-month FTC

We are excited to share that we have a vacancy for an ER Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide support for Employee Relations (ER) projects and initiatives within the ER team, and to assist with overflow workplace relations support as needed.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for employment relations and looking to join an organisation that has employee wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. This role can be based in either Leeds or London.

Your new role

  • Managing a range of formal and informal ER processes including:
  • Disciplinary investigations and hearings
  • Grievance investigations and hearings
  • Restructuring and redundancies
  • Performance Management
  • Absence management and support
  • Ensure a consistent and efficient application of policy / process
  • Advise managers and People colleagues on the ER implications of complex organisational change proposals
  • Be an active ER partner to the business by understanding and addressing ER issues within specific assigned business areas
  • Participate in People projects to support the function

About you

  • Experienced in ER and managing and resolving complex ER issues spanning as a minimum disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies
  • Strong relationship management skills – ability to develop and maintain relationships with key members of the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of employment legislation, ACAS codes of practice and case law
  • Able to manage competing priorities
  • Previous experience in working in a professional services company
  • Professionally qualified (CIPD or equivalent)
