With a significant presence in Europe, Danaher’s 15 operating companies (OpCos) present a wide breadth of employee representative forums, including 50+ works councils across Europe. Danaher is building a global Labor & Employee Relations function which includes a Center of Excellence (LER COE) service model providing core labor and employee relations services to its operating companies.

The Senior Labor and Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for driving and supporting the execution of Danaher’s labor and employee relations strategies in Europe. This position reports to the Senior Counsel, International Labor & Employment, and is a member of the Danaher Corporate HR Labor and Employee Relations (LER) Europe team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Handling non-routine core ER matters in partnership with OpCo HR that present complexity or higher risk, including workplace investigations, leave accommodations, and termination matters, applying a systematic approach to address root causes and develop actions.
2. Supporting OpCo HR Business Partners and HR Generalists on routine ER processes such as investigations, performance issues, and employment separations.
3. Providing leadership on enterprise initiatives, including associate consultation requirements.
4. Offering mentorship and guidance on works council/union/labor relations, establishing constructive partnerships with employee representatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• University degree (undergraduate required, graduate preferred) in Law (Labor/Industrial relations), Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in human resources, employee relations, labor relations, or legal fields related to LER, preferably in Europe (experience in Sweden and Nordics is a plus).
• Expertise in fundamental labor and employment laws and labor relations landscape in Europe.
• Experience managing complex employee investigations and coordinating employee representative bodies.
• Pragmatic, proactive approach with the ability to influence stakeholders and develop process-oriented solutions.
• Fluency in Swedish is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
