Job summary

Legal & General is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our HR team. You will provide practical ER advice, maintain accurate employee records, and handle a range of ER queries.

The role involves coaching managers on HR processes, collaborating with stakeholders and unions, and contributing to improvements in ER service delivery. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling high-volume HR or employee relations queries across multiple channels.
• Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills to explain processes, risk and options clearly.
• Good judgement and analytical skills when assessing ER case information.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical employee relations advice aligned to policies and procedures.
• Manage and update accurate employee records within HR systems.
• Handle a range of ER queries and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Analyse case information to identify themes, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Organise and prioritise workload to meet service level agreements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the ER team.
• Coach and guide managers on core HR processes and best practice.
• Build positive working relationships with stakeholders, HR colleagues and union partners.
