Job summary

Zego is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to own day-to-day ER across the business, acting as the first contact for managers on people issues in a fast-paced environment. You will handle cases from start to finish, including probation, health referrals, absence, disciplinaries, and flexible working requests.

Qualifications

• Substantial ER caseload experience in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to run disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability processes independently.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and how reforms affect ER.
• Experience managing occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments.
• Discretion with confidential and sensitive information; strong written records.

Responsibilities

• Manage own ER caseload from investigation to outcome.
• Run probation processes and ensure timely reviews by managers.
• Interpret OH referrals and advise on reasonable adjustments.
• Handle flexible working and statutory requests within deadlines.
• Advise managers chairing hearings and support through process.
• Provide clear, practical guidance on policies and law.
• Identify patterns in absence and attrition and escalate issues.
• Escalate complex/high-risk cases with summaries and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and case notes.
• Contribute to policy updates and manager training.
