Job summary

Pick Everard is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join the People team in our Leicester office. You will provide practical guidance across a broad range of ER matters, from policy advice to complex cases, ensuring alignment with UK employment law and internal policies.

You will support managers, coach line managers, and contribute to policy development while maintaining confidentiality and high professional integrity in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor role or similar.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and People policies.
• Experience advising on disciplinary, grievance, performance and attendance matters.
• Ability to conduct thorough, impartial investigations.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, early intervention and mediation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, conduct, attendance and long-term sickness absence matters, including complex cases.
• Provide guidance on People policies and formal procedures.
• Support investigations with confidentiality and documentation.
• Promote positive working relationships through early intervention and mediation.
• Coach line managers to handle employee relations matters effectively.
• Contribute to development and improvement of People policies and processes.
• Support ER during organizational change and restructures.
