Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employability Coordinator to join our Employability team at Carshalton and Merton Colleges!

Responsibilities
  • Build on existing external employer partnerships and develop new ones.
  • Oversee monitoring and organisation of Work Placements and Employability activities for full‑time learners.
  • Ensure Study Programme/T‑Level learners gain meaningful work experience/industry placements, adhere to health and safety policies and practice, and record placements on college systems.
  • Work with the Head of Employability to maintain and improve placement processes.
  • Develop pro‑active relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage deadlines, work well under pressure, and contribute creative problem‑solving ideas.
Qualifications
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject.
  • Active and experienced in generating employer links across a wide range of industries.
  • Confidence and engagement in stakeholder relations.
Application Information

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 11th January 2026. Interviews will be held week commencing 19th January 2026.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
