Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter is seeking an EOC Duty Officer to lead day-to-day operations within the Emergency Operations Centres. The role reports to the Deputy Head of Emergency Operations Centres and oversees KPI performance and staffing across EMD and Dispatch groups.

The position is ring-fenced to EMD Team Leaders, Dispatch Team Leaders and Service Delivery Officers, with 24/7 leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and operational delivery.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with demonstrable relevant experience.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous mentoring experience.
• Certified EMD with the IAEMD.

Responsibilities

• Plan, resource and deliver performance within Emergency Operations Centres.
• Directly manage Dispatch Team Leader and EMD Team Leader.
• Ensure KPI compliance, performance management and wellbeing support.
