Job summary

London Ambulance Service NHS Trust seeks a senior leader to join the Trust Operations Directorate as Deputy Director of Emergency Operations Centre. You will ensure the safe, effective and resilient delivery of the 24/7 EOC, overseeing call handling, dispatch, triage, remote consultation and workforce delivery with governance for patient safety.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience for large, high-risk, 24/7 services.
• Experience in transformation, workforce planning and service redesign.
• Evidence of strategic, cross-agency collaboration with partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Operations Centre and its services.
• Lead delivery of operational performance, quality, workforce and financial objectives.
• Develop and implement the EOC's strategic, business and transformation plans.
• Lead workforce planning, organisational development and succession planning across the portfolio.
• Ensure robust governance arrangements are in place to manage risk, patient safety and service quality.
• Work with system partners, commissioners and healthcare providers to improve patient pathways and outcomes.
• Provide executive-level leadership during major incidents and periods of exceptional operational demand.
• Deputise for the Director of Emergency Operations Centre at local, regional and national forums.
• Lead service redesign, innovation and technology-enabled improvement programmes.
• Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, continuous improvement and staff engagement.
