Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an EOC Education Specialist to lead the strategic and operational delivery of high-quality education, training, and professional development for clinical and non-clinical staff within the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).

The post holder will provide educational leadership, ensure compliance with standards, support CPD, and deputise for the Head of Education when needed, with a focus on safeguarding patient care quality.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Paramedic or Registered Nurse with current registration.
• L4 Teaching Qualification or willingness to work toward.
• L3 Assessing Qualification or willingness to work toward.
• Portfolio of CPD evidence showing commitment to professional development.
• Relevant Healthcare degree at Level 6 or above.
• Quality Assurance Qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Mentorship qualification

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the EOC education plan with strategic direction.
• Ensure quality and compliance of education and training programs.
• Collaborate with governance and management to develop assessment and mentoring opportunities.
• Provide specialist educational support to EOC clinical hub colleagues.
• Maintain professional registration and Tactical Commander competency.
• Contribute to annual education plan and develop bespoke training.
• Deputise for Head of Education when required.
• Oversee assessment processes and support learners in complex cases.
