Job summary

The NEW Lifeline and CCTV Monitoring Centre Team at Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council is recruiting a Relief Monitoring Centre Operator. The role is 24 hours per week on a relief contract covering sickness and holidays, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and bank holidays, based in Redditch.

Training will cover Lifeline calls, housing repairs responses after hours, and CCTV monitoring with police evidence.

• Strong focus on customer service and empathy.
• Ability to assess risks quickly and maintain accurate incident records.

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to Lifeline emergency calls to help residents live independently.
• Monitor CCTV across North Worcestershire and provide evidence to Police.
• Produce clear, timely incident reports and documentation.
• Safeguard vulnerable residents with empathy and respect.
• Assess risks and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
