Job summary

Progress Lifeline, part of Progress Housing Group, is recruiting an Emergency Home Responder in Leyland to join a dedicated team providing rapid, compassionate in-home support. You will help older and disabled customers stay safe, reassured and independent at home.

The role offers a guaranteed 40-hour week on a permanent basis, with day or night rota options, a company van and fuel card, and extensive training to develop skills in lifeline and telecare services.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate clearly and build trust with customers and families.
• Able to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Attend emergency call-outs and welfare concerns, assess situations and take action to protect customers.
• Support customers following non-injury falls using lifting equipment and safe handling techniques.
• Install, maintain and collect Lifeline alarms and other telecare equipment to help customers live safely at home.
• Provide reassurance and a calm presence during distressing situations for customers and families.
• Identify safeguarding, welfare and health and safety concerns and take appropriate action.
