Job summary

Progress Housing Group is seeking an Emergency Home Responder to join our Merseyside team. You will be at the heart of providing critical support to vulnerable customers, assessing emergencies and delivering reassurance and care from home during a 24-hour response service.

Training is provided; you will work 12-hour night shifts in a rotating pattern, with weekend and Bank Holiday duties. A driving licence and local residency are essential, along with strong communication and a compassionate

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for work (essential).
• Residency within Merseyside area (essential).
• Compassion and a genuine desire to support vulnerable people.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Reliability and commitment to providing an essential service.
• Flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Availability to work 12-hour night shifts for two weeks out of every four, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical support to older, disabled and vulnerable customers who may have fallen or experienced an emergency at home.
• Assess situations, establish nature of emergency, and provide appropriate support.
• Attend emergency calls across the Merseyside area as directed by Control Centre.
