Job summary

BDS (Northern) Limited is seeking a mobile responder for Wakefield and surrounding areas. You will respond to emergency call outs and welfare checks for older adults in their own homes, using telecare where appropriate, with all equipment provided.

The role is home-based, includes a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, and requires a full driving licence and own vehicle. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile, and some night hours carry enhanced pay.

Qualifications

• Based near Wakefield and accessible by car.
• Enhanced DBS check within last 12 months or on update service.
• Full driving licence and own vehicle; mileage paid at 45p per mile.
• Temp-to-perm opportunity; start ASAP.
• Role involves no personal care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency call outs and welfare checks for older adults in their homes.
• Work from home and respond to calls during shifts, including nights and weekends on a rolling rota.
• Equipment provided; be ready to travel when a call requires a physical response.
