Job summary

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the dispatch team at the North West site. You will supervise, support and coach staff, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet demand and to achieve performance targets.

The role requires leadership, strong communication and the ability to manage emergency and non-emergency deployments. You will be pivotal during major incidents and lead in planning dispatch training and development

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a dispatch or control room team.
• Ability to plan and coordinate resources to meet demand.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support & coach the dispatch team.
• Manage efficient utilisation of staff & resources to meet demand.
• Meet internal, national & contractual performance targets.
• Provide a managerial presence across the dispatch site.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day deployment of emergency & non-emergency resources.
• Lead during large/complex or major incidents.
• Oversee planning and delivery of dispatch training.
