Job summary

The North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a dispatcher for its Integrated Contact Centres, based across Broughton, Speke and Manchester. You will dispatch emergency ambulance resources and maintain radio contact with paramedics and responders, supporting a 24/7 service with variable shifts.

No medical background is required, but you must be willing to complete a three-week training course starting February 15, 2027, with no annual leave.

Qualifications

• GCSE level education or above, or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Evidence of continuous professional development

Responsibilities

• Dispatch emergency ambulance and other resources
• Communicate by radio with paramedics and other emergency responders
• Work alongside 999 call handlers in the Integrated Contact Centre
• Coordinate ambulance responses across the region
