Job summary

Verto People Ltd. seeks a Sales Director/Commercial Director/Business Development Director to lead the UK/EMEA sales strategy for power generation solutions in the data centre sector, driving revenue growth and strategic customer relationships.

The role owns the full sales lifecycle, engages hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise operators, and collaborates with engineering, legal, and finance to deliver complex, high-value solutions across EMEA. Travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data centres or power/energy sectors.
• Proven sales into data centre market including hyperscalers.
• 5+ years in senior sales or commercial leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of data centre power infrastructure including generators, UPS, battery/storage.
• Experience selling high-value capital equipment and long-term service solutions.
• Experience managing enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Established network across data centre operators, EPCs, system integrators, and channel partners across EMEA.
• Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Based in the UK with ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EMEA sales strategy for power generation solutions in the data centre market.
• Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data centres.
• Own the full sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification to contract execution and handover.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives and facilities leaders.
• Develop territory and account plans focused on strategic customers and long‑term revenue growth.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, finance, and legal teams to deliver competitive solutions.
• Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, CRM reporting, and regional performance metrics.
• Develop go-to-market strategies across EMEA through direct sales, distributors, SI, and OEM partnerships.
• Support the growth of sales resources and channel partners across the region.
• Represent the business at industry events and customer forums.
• Provide market feedback to support product development and future strategy.
• Based in the UK with travel up to 30%.
