Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking an experienced Sales Director/Commercial Director to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the EMEA data centre sector. You will lead the regional sales strategy for power generation solutions, targeting hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data centres, while coordinating with engineering, product, finance, and legal teams.

The role requires 10+ years in data-centre sales, a proven track record with high-value deals, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales experience in data centres or energy infrastructure
• Proven track record selling to hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data centres
• 5+ years in senior sales, strategic account management, or commercial leadership
• Strong understanding of data centre power infrastructure (generators, UPS, energy mgmt)
• Experience selling high-value capital equipment and long-term service solutions
• Enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
• Extensive senior contacts across data centre operators, EPCs, SI and partners in EMEA
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with forecasting, pipeline strategy, CRM, and revenue targets
• Engineering or related degree preferred; UK-based with travel to EMEA

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EMEA sales strategy for power generation solutions in data centres
• Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities with hyperscalers and others
• Own full sales lifecycle: qualification, proposals, negotiations, and contract handover
• Build strategic relationships with C-levels and facilities/energy leaders
• Develop territory and account plans focusing on strategic customers
• Collaborate with engineering, product, finance, and legal to deliver solutions
• Manage forecasting, pipeline, CRM reporting, and regional metrics
• Drive go-to-market via direct sales, distributors, and channel partners
• Support growth of sales resources and attend industry events
• Provide market feedback for product development and strategy
