Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. You will lead end-to-end design delivery for critical data centre projects across London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Frankfurt, working with multidisciplinary experts to ensure high engineering standards.

You will manage external consultants, drive collaboration with internal teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and travel internationally up to 25% to support global specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities (data centres, pharma, energy).
• Knowledge of M&E systems and applicable codes.
• Experience directing multidisciplinary design teams and managing stakeholders.
• Degree in Architecture or Engineering; willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities per global specs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to execute fit-out programs and validate opportunities.
• Provide engineering oversight: budget, schedule, and product delivery.
• Identify and manage design risks to protect timelines and standards.
