Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. You will lead end-to-end design delivery for data centre construction across Europe, including London, Amsterdam, Madrid and Frankfurt, working with multidisciplinary experts and external consultants to ensure high-performance infrastructure meets exact engineering standards.

You will direct external design teams and collaborate with internal construction, finance, sales and operations to execute

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities, especially data centres or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life safety, and control systems.
• Proven ability to direct multidisciplinary design teams and manage vendor/internal stakeholders.
• Travel internationally up to 25% of the time is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities meeting global specs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to execute fit-out programs.
• Provide engineering oversight: budget, schedule and product delivery in line with quality and safety standards.
• Identify engineering risks early in design to protect timelines and delivery quality.
