Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead the end-to-end design delivery for critical data centre construction projects across key European markets like London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Frankfurt.

Qualifications

Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities such as data centres.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, life safety, and control systems.
Proven ability to lead external design consultants and internal stakeholders.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities aligned with global specs.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with construction, finance, sales, and operations.
Provide engineering oversight: budget, schedule, and product delivery.
Identify and mitigate design-phase risks to protect timelines and standards.
