Job summary

Altera, a leader in programmable solutions, seeks a Business Development Manager to grow the Embedded business across EMEA. You will identify opportunities, manage relationships with engineers and executives, and translate requirements into design wins.

Applicants should have 5+ years in embedded computing or semiconductors, a strong technical and commercial mindset, and willingness to travel across EMEA to engage customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, strategic account development, technical sales, or related roles in embedded computing, semiconductors or electronic systems.
• Solid foundation in FPGAs, SoCs, embedded processors, programmable logic, real-time systems, embedded software, or related areas.
• Ability to explain system-level trade-offs involving performance, latency, power, cost, and security.
• Proven ability to engage credibly with technical customers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with Field Sales/FAE to create account strategies and progress opportunities.
• Demonstrated proactive opportunity-creation mindset rather than reactive support.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute an EMEA business-development plan for Embedded applications.
• Develop trusted relationships with engineering, product management, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Field Sales, FAE, Solutions Architecture, Product Marketing, and R&D to advance opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery and translate requirements into actionable plans and resources.
• Drive workshops, executive briefings, design reviews, and follow-ups.
• Create and maintain account plans, pipelines, and engagement plans.
