Job summary

Gusto Italian in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head Host to elevate the guest journey from first contact to a memorable dining experience.

You will manage reservations, maximise covers and collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to ensure a flawless service during every service period.

The role focuses on relationship-building with guests, handling special requests and creating reasons for guests to return to Gusto Italian.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience in reservations, hosting or restaurant management in premium hospitality.
• Exceptional communication skills with a warm, engaging manner.
• Commercial awareness and ability to optimise the diary without compromising service.

Responsibilities

• Own the reservations diary and optimise every service.
• Maximise covers and revenue while maintaining guest experience.
• Handle enquiries by phone, email and online with warmth.
• Build relationships with guests and recognise regulars.
• Coordinate table allocations with management to maximise availability.
• Communicate guest details to the team ahead of service.
• Support large bookings and event enquiries.
• Ensure guest notes are accurate and up to date.
