Overview

Electronics Engineer – Programme Manager – Medical Devices – Cambridge. Due to a growth in company output, we need a new Programme Manager with an electronics engineering pedigree to lead multiple projects. Some projects involve mentoring junior staff, while others require you to take on the electronics design aspects directly.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage several medical‑device projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
  • Design and develop electro‑mechanical medical devices, including implantable and wearable technologies that comply with EN 60601.
  • Communicate project status, updates and changes continuously to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience developing new medical‑device technologies in an industry role.
  • Experience with implantable or wearable medical devices that meet EN 60601 standards.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485 quality system.
  • Relevant degree in medical‑devices electronics engineering; a master’s or PhD is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to mentor others and a technical hobby background (e.g., drones, engines, programming) to demonstrate problem‑solving skills.
