Overview

An established engineering business is seeking an Electronic Support Technician to join their expanding team.

The Role

Responsibilities include exposure to a wide variety of tasks across production and technical support. The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with the Production/Technical Lead to support day-to-day operations.
  • Use internal systems to manage stock, track orders, and update production progress.
  • Carry out checks on incoming components to confirm they meet quality standards, raising and resolving issues where needed.
  • Prepare and organise parts for assembly work.
  • Assist with the assembly and repair of equipment, following set procedures and guidelines.
  • Support product testing and calibration, recording results accurately.
  • Pack completed products to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain an organised, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to meet production targets.
The Candidate

Hold a recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).

Have previous hands-on experience in assembly, production, or technical support within a manufacturing environment.

Be confident in using measurement tools and working to tight tolerances.

Be able to interpret technical drawings and written instructions.

Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Be comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment.

Bring good IT skills, with prior use of ERP or MRP systems an advantage.

Hold a full UK driving licence (but not essential).
