Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an Electrician for site-based repairs across the Central belt, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, and some travel to Dundee. You’ll perform fault finding and responsive repairs in social housing properties, maintaining high safety standards and customer service.

You’ll work Mon–Fri (39 hours) with on-call duties, have access to a van and fuel card, and benefit from a pension, tools, training, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fault finding and delivering responsive repairs in social housing.
• Ability to work from job tickets or handheld devices.
• Proven commitment to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and responsive repairs on tenanted social housing properties.
• Replace components such as MCBs, switches, lighting, showers, and alarms as required.
• Carry out re-certification and testing and certificating works.
• Work from planned tickets and ensure high-quality customer service in homes.
• Follow Novus Health & Safety policies and standards.

Job Location

Site based covering the Central belt, around Edinburgh, Glasgow with some travel to Dundee . Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join Novus Property Solutions, Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality electrical repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Works include but are not limited to replacing MCB – circuit breakers, small electrical repairs, switches, lighting internal and external, shower repairs and replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, re-certification, certificating all works.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes.
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Qualified to 18 th edition and AM2, preferably NICEIC registered NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, AM2, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, ECS Card Inspection & Testing (2391)

Experience within social housing refurbishment environmen t.

• This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving license is required.
• 2391 Test and inspection a distinct advantage
