Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Repairs and Voids division, working on social housing properties around Gloucester. You will carry out fault finding, repairs and installations with a focus on safety and quality.

You’ll benefit from a stable, site-based role with a dedicated planning team, company van, pension and generous holiday allowance. Training support is available, and you’ll work in a respectful, professional team.

Qualifications

• Experience in fault finding and responsive repairs in social housing.
• Qualifications such as 2391, NICEIC registration preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation completed.
• 18th edition and AM2 or equivalent qualifications held.
• DBS check and full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Replacements and installations including MCBs, rewires, lighting, switches, showers and alarms.
• Working from job tickets or handheld devices daily.
• Delivering outstanding service while working in customers' homes.
• Following Novus Health and Safety policies and standards.
• Complying with DBS and driving licence requirements.

Job Location

Site based covering up to 90 minutes from Gloucester. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join Novus Property Solutions, Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality electrical repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience - Electrician

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Works include but are not limited to replacing MCB – circuit breakers, rewires, emergency and external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs and replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, testing, inspecting and re-certification, certificating all works.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes.
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Qualified to 18th edition and AM2, preferably NICEIC registered
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• (or equivalent) AM2, BS7671:2018 and 2391-52 (or equivalent).

Experience within social housing refurbishment environment. Solar PV, EV Charging, battery storage and domestic ventilation. And PAS 2030 Retrofit knowledge and qualifications are advantageous.

This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving license is required.
