Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an Electrician to join our Repairs and Voids division, delivering high-quality electrical repairs and installations in Social Housing properties across Swindon and surrounding areas.

You'll work Monday to Friday (39 hours) with on-call duties, using company van and equipment, and benefit from training opportunities, a pension, and a supportive planning team to keep travel times low and workloads manageable.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with current electrical installation credentials.
• Experience fault finding on social housing properties preferred.
• Skilled in testing, inspection and re-certification to standard.
• Able to work safely and follow health & safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and responsive repairs on tenanted properties.
• Replace MCBs, lighting, switches, and basic installations as required.
• Work from job tickets using a handheld device daily.
• Ensure high-quality customer service in homeowners' spaces.

Job description

Job Location: Site based covering up to 90 minutes from Swindon . Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join Novus Property Solutions, Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality electrical repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience- Electrician

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Works include but are not limited to replacing MCB - circuit breakers, rewires, emergency and external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs and replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, testing, inspecting and re-certification, certificating all works.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes.
• Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Qualified to 18 th edition and AM2, preferably NICEIC registered
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) AM2, BS7671:2018 and 2391-52 (or equivalent)
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving licence is required.
